Antique village chair that can also be used as a side table. We have a small collection. Lovely patina and character on this beautiful piece. Circa 1950. The images and price reflect one. Full dimensions;  Seat 14” diameter x seat 12.5” high x floor to top of back rest 25” high.

This antique chair or side table was hand made in the spirit of Wabi-Sabi, a Japanese philosophy that beauty can be found in imperfection and impermanence. It is a beauty of things modest and humble. A beauty of things unconventional. It is the opposite of vulgarity. The costs of achieving this kind of minimalism are seemingly inconsistent with its mission of aesthetic humility.
